Luserna

Pietra di Luserna is an Italian stone of metamorphic origin, schistose belonging to the gneiss group, with excellent characteristics of resistance to wear and tear and resistant to breakage and frost.

The thin type of thickness 1/2.5 cm is used mostly for cladding in both private and urban construction, but can also be used for paving private gardens.

The normal type of thickness 2.5/4 cm is used mostly for paving in both private and urban construction.

Its color is gray-green with yellow and rust-colored shades. Its surface is quite homogeneous despite being rough and therefore functional for places where anti-slip is required. Very suitable for harsh climates.

Luserna stone setts have face dimensions ranging from 6 to 8 cm and a 4–6 cm thickness. They feature a natural split finish and come in shades ranging from light grey to blue-grey, with slight natural colour variations.

These natural stone setts are widely used for outdoor paving thanks to their excellent resistance to compression, wear, impact, frost, and weathering. They retain their mechanical and aesthetic properties over time while requiring minimal maintenance.

They are ideal for paving public squares, historic town centres, pedestrian walkways, courtyards, residential areas, garden paths, and parks. They are suitable for both pedestrian areas and light-traffic vehicular surfaces, provided they are installed on a properly designed and prepared base.
